What this is, and who itâs for
Russia.net helps Russian-speakers living in the United States find the professional they need â an attorney, a doctor, an accountant, a realtor, a school for their child â in their own city and their own language. The site is free for users. Always.
The audience is Russian-speaking immigrants in America. Not just ethnic Russians: Ukrainians, Belarusians, Kazakhs, Israelis with roots in the former USSR, Jewish Ă©migrĂ©s, second- and third-generation families â anyone who is more comfortable handling important things in Russian.
The site is focused on the practical side of American life: taxes, immigration, healthcare, schools, real estate, everyday services. We do not write about politics, we do not cover the war, and we stay away from topics where Russian-speakers in America disagree among themselves. This is not cowardice â it is an editorial choice. We work on what unites the community, not on what divides it.
Who runs this
Russia.net was started in 2025 by a Russian-speaker living in the United States who wanted exactly this kind of resource and couldnât find one in a single place. The founderâs name and contact details will be added here as soon as the initial launch is complete.
(This page will be updated with a real bio and contact information.)
How the directory works
Listing verification
Every listing is reviewed before it goes live. We confirm that the business actually exists, that the phone number works, and that the advertised language match is real â not just decorative. Unverified submissions donât make it into the public directory.
Reviews
Reviews can only be left by users with registered accounts â one account, one review per listing. Business owners can reply to any review publicly. We do not remove negative reviews at the ownerâs request; reviews are only removed if they violate our rules (personal attacks, false accusations, or spam).
Categories
We list the categories where speaking Russian actually matters to the client: immigration attorneys, doctors, accountants, realtors, schools, grocery stores, and houses of worship. If the language of service doesnât affect quality, we donât have a category for it.
Featured listings
When a listing is paid as âfeatured,â it is clearly labeled as such. Paying to be featured does not buy a place in the regular search results, does not let an owner remove reviews, and does not change how reviews are displayed. It is visibility, not bias.
What we donât do
Weâre not a news outlet. We donât cover Russian or American politics. We donât write about the war, sanctions, or related topics.
Weâre not a forum for political debate. The site does not host discussions on contested topics. We aim to bring people together, not divide them.
We donât link to state media. Not Russian, not anyone elseâs. Recommended resources are independent sources only.
We donât use state symbols. No flags, no political iconography.
How we make money
The site is free for users and will stay that way. No paid subscriptions, no paywall on listings or reviews.
Revenue, if any, comes from businesses: through clearly-labeled featured placement, through verification and extended owner features, or through sponsored editorial sections (with the sponsor clearly named).
The specific model is not yet chosen and will be decided as the audience grows. What we will not do, under any circumstances: hidden advertising, fake reviews, removing negative reviews for payment, or charging users for access.
